Warnings and Guidelines
While you’re having fun on your electric skateboard, don’t forget to be careful! We have worked hard to put together the following warnings and guidelines, but we cannot anticipate every scenario. So please follow these guidelines and use common sense while riding your eboard. Read below, remember, and ride with caution!
- When using an electric skateboard, there's a risk of falling. By purchasing and using an electric skateboard, you accept this risk and take responsibility for your own well-being. Americaneboards.com is not responsible for any injury or death resulting from the use of any products purchased on our website.
- Before you start, you must read through the user manual for your particular eboard model and familiarize yourself with the operating instructions so that you can operate your device carefully and keep it in top condition.
- Wear protective clothing and equipment, including helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, and other appropriate equipment. Always wear closed-toe shoes when riding your electric skateboard.
- Eboards sold on Americaneboards.com are for personal entertainment only. Ride the eboard only where it's allowed. You may not be allowed to ride it on sidewalks or streets. Check your local laws first.
- When you learn to use an electric skateboard, make sure you have a someone to help you balance until you can do it on your own.
- Relax your legs while riding and bend your knees slightly. This will help keep your balance when you're on uneven ground.
- Make sure your feet are always on your eboard. Taking your feet off the e-board while riding can be dangerous.
- Americaneboards.com doesn't endorse the use of its products by minors and discourages the use of our products without adult supervision. The use of electric skateboards by minors should always be supervised by an adult.
- Use your e-board only if you are healthy and can keep your balance.
- The electric skateboard is NOT a medical mobility device and should not be used as such.
- Pregnant women and the elderly should NOT ride any type of eboard.
- Do not carry items while riding.
- Avoid riding over obstacles and slippery or wet ground such as snow, ice rain etc.
- Do not ride in the rain.
- Avoid riding on items made of cloth, small branches, and stone.
- Avoid riding in narrow spaces or where there are obstacles.
- Avoid riding on steep slopes.
- Do not ride backwards for long distances or at high speeds.
- Be especially careful when riding backwards and turning.
- Do not operate near flammable vapor, liquids, dust or fibers, and other fire hazards.
- Do not accelerate or stop suddenly.
- When riding your e-board you must comply with local laws and give way to pedestrians.
- Please be alert to your surroundings to ensure a careful ride. Do not use your electric skateboard while using your cell phone or earphones/headphones.
- Do not ride in dimly lit or dark places.
- All e-boards sold on americaneboards.com can only support one person. Do not let two or more people ride it.
- The weight of the user and their belongings should not exceed the maximum load indicated in your User Manual, otherwise you may fall and be injured or damage your e-board. Exceeding the weight capacity of the unit may result in difficulty controlling the unit and injuries to the rider. This is especially true when riding downhill, as your electric skateboard may reach dangerous speeds.
- Ensure the vehicle speed is operational for yourself and others, and be ready to stop at any time.
- If you are in an accident, please contact EMS / 911 right away.
- If you and your friends are riding e-boards or any other moving products near each other, please keep a comfortable distance from each other to avoid collisions.
- When going through doors, remember you will be taller on your eboard.
- When steering, pay attention to your body’s center of gravity. A sudden shift may cause you to fall.
- Do not tamper with or use your e-board if you have disassembled your unit.
- If your unit is damaged, punctured or otherwise not fully functional, please refrain from use and get in touch with our Customer Service department.
